Lately I haven't had any trouble finding new subjects to photograph, or coming up with the inspiration to tinker with those images, creating something entirely different from it's original counterpart.

The hard part lately is finding ideal backgrounds to use for these images! With so many new babies being born into the world, I seem to find myself enjoying the process of photographing children and infants. In part because they're just so dang cute, and in part because there is absolutely no way you can screw up a child's picture. No matter how poor or inexperienced you are in the photography department, when it comes down to it, it's the subject that matters.

With children portraits, every picture you take is going to look cute!

I just wish there was more children friendly backgrounds out there. Cute little fantasy settings that work well with the younger population. You know, cute little fae boats, or fantasy designed rooms. Boxes and tubs. Thing's that you see and just instantly need to go out and photograph an infant just so you can use it.

I've come across, and purchased, a lot of backgrounds in my days, but it's so rare that I find a background that just screams 'use me, us me'.

There are litterly thousands upon thousands of backdrops that would work great for older audiences, but I find those digital backdrops for kids and infants are too few and far between...

A shame, really... What I wouldn't give for some cute arrangements of digital props or photo manipulated fantasy backgrounds that are ideal for some 'stick em in, and shop it up' poses!
